Yin yoga is a practice mainly done on the floor in which each pose is held for 3-5 minutes. It is a passive, gentle practice with little movements that work with the connective tissues, fascia, and deep muscles of the body. Props will be used to guide you into proper alignment and to assist with holding the poses for a longer period of time. Yin yoga is a very inward and meditative practice that allows you to focus on your breath and notice what is going on in your body and mind. It is great for anyone looking to achieve a deep stretch and is suitable for any level, as modifications and assistance will be offered to guide you gently into each pose as your body allows.
All necessary props and mats will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
