Stress-Relief through Mindfulness

Now is the time to build mindful awareness in order to support emotional balance, foster purpose-driven actions and reduce stress. In this class, we’ll learn mindfulness meditation techniques to assist you at work – and at any other time. Research has shown that mindfulness has many benefits like improving sleep, lowering blood pressure, and reducing anxiety. Join us to learn simple, useful strategies to help relieve stress. At the end of class, we will be guided in a short relaxation, helping us feel refreshed.

Instructor: Jacqueline Janz

About the Instructor: Jacqueline has been a Mindfulness Meditation teacher in the Ozaukee area for many years. She previously was the chief communication and marketing officer for the Milwaukee County Transit System and the executive director for Blue Lotus Center. It was her high-pressure jobs that led her to search for ways to better manage stress. She is a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher by renowned teachers, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Several other courses have had a strong influence on her life including Pema Chodron’s the Way of the Bodhisattva; UMASS’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction’s seven day intensive; and Vipassana meditation by S.N. Goenka. She’s passionate about sharing her journey and the crucial tools to assist in alleviating life’s stresses.
