Michael Sapiro is a father, husband, fiction author, published music critic, public speaker, former touring musician, expert in continental philosophy and religion, and has had a nearly twenty year career in marketing, communications, and sales.
Over the course of his career, Michael has held various roles in entertainment, nonprofits, and higher education. From running digital marketing for one of the largest regional animal welfare associations in the Midwest, to working with music venues and artists across the country as a booking agent, to copywriting for specialty art retailers, Michael has had a wide ranging career. Michael built, led and grew an agency serving some of the biggest names in higher education, including: LSU, Creighton University, UC Berkley, and Brandeis University. Additionally, for nearly a decade, Michael led Marketing and Inquiry Management for the Concordia University campuses in Wisconsin and Michigan. He is also a sought after speaker, speaking at large conferences such as CALEM, OLC Accelerate, High Ed Web, and the Omniupdate User Conference (among many).
Michael graduated from Northcentral University with a degree in Music Business in 2006. He completed post-graduate studies in Media and Communication theory at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Michael earned his MA in Philosophy from the Global Center for Advanced Studies in Dublin, Ireland.
Michael resides in Port Washington, WI with his wife and two children.
